Million Dollar Steak Recipe

To keep your steak juicy and tender, you want an even sear and seal. You can accomplish this by not moving or turning the meat until halfway through cooking time. Also, letting the meat rest after cooking will redistribute the juices throughout, resulting in a nice and juicy steak. Follow these other tips for making any meat as tender as can be.And why do you put butter on the steak?

Precisely because butter can make any of your favorite steak recipes more delicious by using it as a basting tool when cooking or to impart flavor once cooked. 

Ingredients

  • 1 beef flat iron steak or boneless top sirloin steak -200gm
  • 2 tablespoons garlic & pepper butter, softened, divided 
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley 
  • 1/4 teaspoon reduced-sodium soy sauce 
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt 

Instructions

  • First, you are going to need to heat up a large cast-ironed skillet. If you don’t have a cast-iron you could use any heavy-duty pan. Heat it with medium-high heat until it begins to smoke. 
  • After patting the steaks dry with a paper towel, add some salt and pepper to both sides of the steak. 
  • Put in our pepper and garlic flavored butter and swirl it around. Then sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side. Whatever you do, don’t flip it until it’s browned. 
  • Note: For a medium steak, cook for 4-5 minutes on both sides. For a well-done steak, cook for 5-6 minutes on both sides  
  • Take the steaks out of the pan and allow them to rest for 5 minutes. Add the garlic butter and serve hot.
